Amateur SATB choir based in Fleet, Hampshire
On a cold October evening I went along to a rehearsal with Hart Voices all those years ago - 16 years to be precise.
They were practising Handel’s Messiah for the Christmas concert. The rest is history!
I found a fantastic, caring, lovely group of people, made several friends through Hart Voices and last but not least, met my husband in the process, now father of our beautiful 9 year old daughter.
Wednesday evenings come - after a hard day at work - with laughter, creativity and a lot of magic through beautiful music making.

From the moment Roy introduces us to a new piece of music, the disbelief on members’ faces... what is he thinking??? How is this ever going to sound attractive to us never mind to our audience?? And then... through weeks of hard work, concentration and Roy jumping up and down (and a lot of giggles), we make sublime music and give our audience an unforgettable experience. We have now learnt to trust him. :)
A highlight for me was when we performed the Chichester Psalms back in 2010, and I think it might be time for a revisit! And how could I not mention the beautiful Hungarian Song “Kell még egy szó” (“Just one more word before you go...”) which Roy arranged last summer especially for me to sing the solo in. A wonderful opportunity and one I will never forget.
Music has always been part of my life, I have been singing in a choir since the age of 8.
I couldn’t imagine my Wednesday evenings any other way.
