Concert - Saturday 14 November 2026

Messe Solennelle

Saturday 14 November 2026, 7.30pm

All Saints Church, Fleet

Conductor: Roy Rashbrook

Hart Voices presents an inspiring programme of sacred choral music centred on Jean Langlais' magnificent Messe Solennelle, a powerful and dramatic setting that showcases the rich sonorities of choir and organ.

Conducted by Roy Rashbrook, the concert also features Patrick Gowers' uplifting Viri Galilaei, Jonathan Dove's atmospheric Seek Him that Maketh the Seven Stars, and Morten Lauridsen's much-loved O Nata Lux. Alongside these modern masterpieces are beautiful works by Charpentier and Fauré, creating an evening of music that spans centuries of choral tradition.

Performed with organ, piano, tenor and bass soloists, this varied and moving programme explores themes of light, hope, faith and remembrance. The concert is dedicated to the memory of Richard Joyce (1937-2026), a much-valued member of Hart Voices' bass section whose love of choral music enriched the choir for many years.

Join us for an evening of stirring music in the beautiful setting of All Saints Church, Fleet.

Complimentary refreshments will be served during the interval.
